However dermatophytes invade subcutaneous tissues rarely. We report herein a 65 year-old woman who was as a known case of rheumatoid arthritis (For 10 years) and taking immunosuppressive drugs, presented with multiple nodules and sinuses in the knee area. Histopathologic studies revealed PAS positive granulomas and fungal culture confirmed Trichophyton rubrum infection.
