Special Issue Description

Dermatology is a medical field that, deals with the skin and its diseases. Recently, multidisciplinary and integrated approaches have provided useful tools to analyze and discover molecular mechanism of diseases. System biology and the high throughput platforms are well stablished to integrate and process the large set of data to explore new therapeutic and diagnostic methods. In this special issue, experts in the field of system biology and dermatology discuss applications and recent advances in dermatology by using system biology approach. Consistent with the scope of "Iranian Journal of Dermatology", we welcome your research articles and reviews.

Topics for this special issue include but are not restricted to:

  • Various system biology methods and tools in dermatology
  • The need for management and integration of skin diseases treatment and systems biology
  • Using omics technologies and extracting information from primary high-throughput datasets related to skin diseases diagnosis
  • Uncovering molecular mechanisms, focusing on gene regulation, expression, function, cell signaling and biological pathways in skin function and disorders
  • Integrating system biology and drug resistant in management of skin diseases
